Your voice

When you hold the yappx key, your microphone records inside your browser. The recording is transcribed and turned into a video on your own computer. We never receive your audio, your transcript or your video. The video only leaves your computer when you post it to X yourself.

What yappx downloads

• The speech-recognition model, once, from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). It's a data file and is stored in your browser.
• Your X profile picture, from X's image server (pbs.twimg.com), to draw it on your video.

What we store

• A random install ID, created by the extension. It isn't linked to your name, your X account or your device.
• Your subscription status for that ID: plan, status and renewal date.
• If you subscribe, Stripe handles your payment and email. We never see your card number. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Your settings and free-reply count are kept in your browser's own storage (synced by your browser if you use browser sync).

What we don't do

• No analytics, trackers or ads in the extension.
• We don't read, collect or store your posts, messages or browsing.
• We don't sell or share data with anyone.

Deleting your data

Uninstall the extension to delete everything stored in your browser. To delete your subscription record, cancel from the yappx menu and email us; we'll erase it.
